Hello
Love New Forest but haven't camped there before. Will be taking a folding camper and will need EHU and good shower facilities.
Prefer quiet sites, don't want clubhouses.
Many thanks!

Black Knowl is one of our favourite sites. It is very popular so you need to book well in advance particularly if you are planning for high season. We were there last week and it was practically full every night. A good alternative is Longmeadow Site which is in fact only a ten minute walk from Black Knowl. Both sites have immediate access to forest walks out of the gate.
------------- Mother Nature always wins in the end.

Red Shoot Linwood is great..toasty warm shower block lovely shop. Pitches are marked out.The pub has delicious meals and gives you somewhere to eat and dry out and use wifi. Phone reception temperamental. Scenery on way in and out stunning. The animals.....cows pigs and ponies dont come onto the actual site because of cattle grids.
If you prefer something a bit wilder and freer without pitches then Roundhill is great and gives you a feeling of camping wild in the forest. Amazing seeing the animals wandering around actually on the heathland you are camping on.
