Hi

We're thinking of taking our 7 year old camping for the first time next weekend. We want to go somewhere either in Whitby or a short bus ride into Whitby with a campsite that's good for kids. EHU and decent shower / toilet blocks are also needed. Any recommendations please? We stopped at Lythe Caravan and Campsite last weekend so we'd like to try somewhere different.

Hi,
Try York house caravan park. We just spent 2 nights there. Cost 20 quid. Showers were warm and clean. Toilets were kept spotless. There's also a nice play area for the kids...my lad loved it.Only gripe was the 'all welcome bar' was for members only apparently!....however the pub 2 minutes walk down the road is nicer and sells real ale.

Takes less than 10 minutes to drive to Whitby and only 30 minutes to Scarborough....not sure on buses though.
