After posting our disaster thread, and everything that happened with it, we've decided to move on.
So, we're looking for a year round seasonal pitch, MUST be kid and dog friendly (for definite this time), and within a hour of Cramlington, Northumberland.
We'd prefer either east or north of us as we don't want to be fighting traffic past the A1 at Newcastle just to then 'recover' from that on getting to our pitch.
Done the full 'Campsite search', but just can't seem to see anything....
Help!

I found Northumberland pretty bereft of seasonal sites that's why we went to North Yorkshire. I think getting a year round will be nigh on impossible but good luck.
I used the UKCS map search, centred on roughly Alnwick as I don't know where Cramlington is. Clicked on seasonals, dogs allowed and open all year. Five came up - Forget-me-not country park, Bluesky Centre Touring Park, Seddons Caravan Park, Riverside Leisure Park and South Meadows Caravan Park. There isn't a child-friendly tab, but clicking Adult Only removed them all, so they must all accept children. Having said which, I can't help more than that but hopefully someone knows the sites.
On the tariff page of Ord House it shows a 12 month pitch from £2280?
Also you may find that looking at each site individually in your desired location may bring better results. When we were looking I found that only a few of the sites that do seasonal pitches were actually listed as having seasonal pitches on the listings on here. I looked at the websites of the campsites in our desired area and lots more had seasonal pitches than I originally thought.

Yes I think so? Click on park menu, then tariffs and it seems to take you to the touring/camping/wishbone lodges page. Underneath the short stay tariff is shows long term - so am presuming this means seasonal?
Crikey - hope I'm looking at the right site - apologies if not lol

There are plenty of sites in N Yorkshire that say kids and dogs welcome if kept on a lead while on site.
There are several sites around Pocklington either side of the A1079 Hull to York road where kids are allowed to wander free and have good dog walks but must be tetherd on site Fangfoss Park, Southlea, Wolds WAY some open all year others March to end November lot can be seen on this web but are more than hour from yours away average price is £1500 plus £30 a month storage when closed for winter
We spent 4 seasons on Highfield Farm, Tunstall, nr Catterick Garrison, from the east end of Newcastle it took us just over an hour door to door, but the season is 1st weekend in March until last weekend in October. I've just had a look on here at a site we checked out about 5 years ago which wasn't too bad in Northumberland. It's called YONT THE CLEUGH and it's just off the A69 near Haltwhistle so should be reachable in about an hour. The web site gives the 2014 prices as £1150 including electric and awning and they offer a 3 payment system with a £50 discount if paid in full. Again though the season is 1st March til 1st November. Could still be worth a look though.

She's applied for the new emergency hospital opposite where we live.
It'll mean going back to shift work, not Monday to Friday, so we've decided to put the van into storage for now until we 'find our feet' again and see if it's worth siting again next year.
