Hoping to go to North Devon this summer, anyone been to Stowford Farm Meadows? Have read all the reviews seems you either love it or hate it! Don't mind it being busy as you can expect it in peak season, however a lot of pitches seem to be on a slope and that's what worries us.

North Morte Farm is our favourite site in North Devon.it has a spectacular camping field overlooking the sea. The tourer section is relatively small but handy for the South West coast path.

Stowford is a great site, we go there several times a year. Yes there are lots of children playing all day in busy times, but it's a family site and you take it or leave it. By about 9.00 ish all the noise is usually gone and the security guys are pretty hot on that problem.
Only field five has a real slope, but it's ok if you can get a pitch around the top edge. There is a plan of the site on their web page so it's possible to plan and book where you want to go if you are booking early.
At the same time there are lots of good sites in the area as the previous posts suggest, but if you have a family who likes lots of things to do, Stowford should suit.
Stayed at Stowford this year and last and had plots on field 3.
Both plots were flat and extremely large.
We had plot 346 last year and plot 310 this year and can safely say that we had no slope problem on either plot.
Plot 310 is huge - our Cabanon Espace looked tiny on the plot.
Plenty to do as you know in Summer but as previously mentioned it goes quiet early enough. Plenty for the family to do whilst there included in the holiday cost.
Good luck with whatever you choose

We stayed in the rally field about 5 years ago. We had EHU and use of everything. We had to pay for the pets part but it wasn't expensive. We didn't use the swimming pool. It was a fair walk to ablution blocks but if you needed to you could have your own toilet tent on your pitch. It was very quiet where we were and although the field did slope a bit the pitches were flat. We hope to go again this year, through the C&CC again because its far cheaper.
I think we were very high up because one morning we were shrouded in dark clouds and it was amazing to watch them gradually moving off.
we stayed at at stowford last year for 7 days and it was great, highly recommend the place very clean and tidy and it is huge, yes the pool is extra but its only a few quid and worth the extra to keep it going.
we are going again in august with my sister and her clan for 14 days this time got my pitch booked on field 3 as it catches the sun until it disappears behind the trees booked it last year for this before we left as we enjoyed it that much
