Weve been touring a few years now. We fancy a seasonal pitch but being from Yorkshire we like to be a tad thrifty....has anyone and recommendations for a seasonal pitch that ticks these boxes

Good location near village pub and shops
Bus route to a town
Not water logged in wet season
Clean and tidy
Good washblock
Available nearly most of year
1 hour drive from West Yorkshire
Most of all good price

A lot to ask but someone must know somewhere..

Cheers

Lou

I've used 2 sites for seasonal and enjoyed both. Highfield farm at Tunstall, near Catterick Garrison is a lovely site but no pub or club room. Akebar, which is only 5 miles from Tunstall has a lot more facilities including golf course (reflected in price) has new owners and is a little more expensive but may be worth a look. After all, you normally get what you pay for.

How much do you want to spend? A good price is different to everybody.

I have just posted my recommendation on a similar post.

Try South Lea at Pocklington.

Just outside York - about 30 mins drive I guess.

We live in W Yorkshire- it takes us just about an hour to drive to the site. We keep our caravan there in storage and then put it on a pitch for stays. They do do seasonal pitches also.

Small, clean and tidy, good shower block and just a mile into town centre with a good variety of shops, bars, restaurants etc.
