We are looking to take our new to us motorhome to the west country for February half term. We would like sites with hard standing and within 15 mins walk to a pub/village. We will also be bringing our dog so will need somewhere to walk him. Any ideas anyone?

Not quite Devon or Cornwall, but the CC site at Dulverton (Exmoor House) is right on the Devon border.
A couple of minutes walk from a really friendly little town with all you need and some cracking pubs/eateries.
No hardstanding pitches, and it may take 20 minutes or so to walk to the village centre with a choice of several pubs, but Norden Farm at Corfe Castle is very dog friendly (usual rules about keeping on lead etc of course) to the point of providing a "pooch parlour" and making no extra charge for pets.

We enjoyed Birchwood Tourist Park .
I second Birchwood Tourist Park, and it is my favourite site.

South Lytchett Manor.. been there with our tent and went back late last year in our new (to us) caravan - lovely pitches, lovely pub 5-10 mins walk away and a little cafe about 2 mins walk that does a lovely brekkie!
Oh and you get a free bottle of wine at the pub when you present a voucher from the campsite :)
