Hi all. I just purchased a new tent and was looking forward to going away to brean to a campsite I used to go when younger. But upon booking I noticed you aren't allowed Commercial Vehicles. I own a Fiesta but also a Citroen Dispatch that I use for fishing. I was hoping to use the Dispatch to go camping too as I can fit all the stuff in it. I have had to send photos of the van but I can't see them letting me go in it.
Does anyone know any campsites that allow vans on? Was hoping for one with fishing pool and playgrounds etc.
Hope you can help
Thanks
Paul

You have not stated your location or in which area you wish to camp.
Many sites allow vans, especially if they are not sign written, so it is really a case of phoning the sites and asking them.
I want to go to northam farm and I'm waiting for them to get back to me. Also looked at warren farm but it said the same for there. Didn't realise going in my van would be an issue.
As Bernie says above, there are lots of sites which do allow commercial vehicles, including those of the Camping and Caravanning Club (as long as they're not carrying advertising), so if you use the Camp Site Search link in my previous post, you should be able to find somewhere suitable, if (using this link) albeit in another area.
We have stayed at many sites that state No Commercials, a quick phone call to explain before booking and they have all been happy to allow us on. Some have said it mustn't be sign written but most are not bothered. There was only one site that refused us and they had a list of rules as long as your arm, we stayed at another in the area and drove past it. It wasn't the sort of place where you enjoyed yourself by the looks!

C&CC Club Sites are usually open to non-members, BUT non-members are charged a nightly pitch fee (think it's £10+) on top of the member's rate, so over a week or so it would be more cost-effective to join (at around £40pa).
Joining (which could be done on arrival at site) would also mean you could use the Club's often basic and usually inexpensive privately-owned Certificated Sites and reasonably priced Temporary Holiday Sites.
