Hello aint posted here for a while so go easy please lol, We are looking for a site on Anglessey or Gwynedd area for the easter period that will accommodate our needs, needs to be near a beach and maybe have a clubhouse or pub etc nearby, we will be in a motorhome with our westy so needs be dog friendly as well, been looking at the campsite reviews but there is hat many am lost,if anyone has any suggestions then please do let us know, we are a family of 4, 2 children aged 7 and 10.

Valley of the Rocks near Holyhead, Anglesey has a pub next door and a beach just along the road. You either love or hate it; we only stayed 2 nights but liked it.

No, Shell Island doesn't take caravans.

My regular site on Anglesey is Golden Sunset camping fields - it's on the edge of Benllech village, only five minutes walk to the shops and pubs and a few minutes more to a great beach.

The site facilities are, imo, only two steps above basic, but this is more than made up for by the great views from most of the camping fields and the proximity to the village. Tbh I wouldn't recommend going there during the long school holidays as it can get quite manic, but earlier in the season is okay.

I've been camping there every year for almost twenty years, and while there are undoubtedly better sites on the island I wouldn't stay anywhere else. And having spent so much time travelling around the island I can't think of any other site which is so close to a proper village AND a beach.

Yes, you're both correct of course, but the OP says "we will be in a motorhome", which would be acceptable.

Good idea in that case to pitch a toilet/utility tent to indicate your pitch is in use, if you need to drive off and hope to return to the same spot!

Dyffrn Seaside EstTate. Brilliant well,spaced site, each EHU has its own water tap. Low lighting on the fields so never pitch black but doesn't spoil star spotting. Right by the sand dunes and beautiful beach.

Has club, shop, take away, park, football area, swimming pool
