Long time since I last posted. We gave up our touring caravan last May as it was becoming too much like hard work for us - both having mobility issues.
However we were thinking of going back to Andrewshayes Caravan Park and using one of their statics. This was a site we visited many, many decades ago and the thing that stuck in our memories was the dreadful "pong" from the farm which you had to drive through both entering and leaving the site. The smell was particularly evident on hot days and it stuck in my nostrils for weeks after we got home!
Does this still happen?
Looking at the website a great deal of money has been spent on the site hauling it into the 21st century and it looks fantastic now. But if my wife and I are going to have to endure the smell of pig/cow "business" for a week or more, we might have to re-think our plans!!!!!!!!
Can anyone enlighten us please? I know some might say "it's the smell of the countryside, get over it" but I'd rather not have to suffer such a thing thanks very much!
Cheers!

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Never been, but none of the reviews going back to 2011 mentions an agricultural smell. That said, if you're there when a local farm is muck spreading on nearby fields, that's not the site's fault and the smell won't last long - a good excuse for a day trip. Doesn't sound like a deal breaker to me, book your holiday there and enjoy!
