Hi all. We're looking at camping on the Yorkshire Coast this weekend and have already been turned away by one camp site in Robin Hood's Bay due to ground conditions. We have tried Blue Dolphin (where I spent my childhood holidays) and they're not open for camping yet, so we're looking at Crow's Nest near Filey. We can't get through to anyone to speak to about ground conditions so we're wondering if anyone has been there in the last couple of weeks and can attest to how things currently are.
Thank you
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Try Primrose Valley virtually next door or Mr moo,s just down coast Icecream parlour with camping and vanning to one side and back.
Try a cowpat very tasty (chocolate).
Also Pottery Rose near Brid has plenty for kids also sweet factory just down road all can be found at ukcampsite.co.uk
Apologies you have been unable to get in touch. The phones are busy at the moment and we must have missed your call.
We have had a lot of rain in the few days and the ground at the moment is fairly wet but not flooded in any way. I am sure it will be the same everywhere. If you are prepared and don't leave the road too far then i dont think you will have a problem.
