I've been using the site search function on here but I'm undecided what area of the country to head for so thought I'd ask for a more personal recommendation.
We always go to Cornwall for our summer holiday but we've just had a new baby and I can't face the drive from Glasgow with a wee one as well as the older kids.
Ideally I'm looking for a site within 3ish hours of Glasgow. Holiday park in style so it suits my kids if the weather isn't good but we generally like more independent, well maintained holiday parks if you get my drift. Ideally with an indoor pool, kids entertainment at night, takes large tents (a must, we won't fit on a small pitch)
The parks we enjoy in Cornwall are Trevornick, monkeytree etc so looking for a similar vibe. Lively for the kids but not a real "party site"
All personal recommendations welcome!

Brighouse Bay, near Kirkcudbright, part of the Gillespie Leisure group of 4 sites in Dumfries & Galloway. I think it has everything you're looking for, with a local lovely wee beach next door, plus lots to do locally like Cream o' Galloway Icecream at Gatehouse of Fleet, farm park at Mabie (near Dumfries), wild goat park in Galloway.

Try Southerness, Auchenlarie or Brighouse Bay. We also have a toddler and from Glasgiw ideal drive time, Southerness also has a soft play if weather is not good.

We went for a few nights to brighouse last year and loved it...I was slightly concerned about what it could offer in bad weather though. It's perfect for last minute as we go when the weather is decent but as this is going to be booked now for the end of August/beginning of Sept I'm not sure. Happy to be persuaded otherwise if people have ideas for me.

I don't think the ranch at maybole take tents anymore.

Off to look up the others now
