In an effort to get more out of the caravanning season, we are choosing to stay at sites for two or three consecutive weekends, leaving the caravan unoccupied on site from Sunday to Thursday, I think it's called stay and store.
I am finding that quite a few sites allow this and charge a nominal fee but don't advertise it so it's a case of ringing them up and asking. I know there is a specialised search on UKCS but find this mainly relates to storage only, not for short term use.
Anyway, I have decided to compile a list and wondered if anyone on here knows of sites which provide this service.
If so can you let me know the site name, the charge, any restrictions (ie low season only) and their location. We are happy to travel about two hours from Barnsley, about 100 mikes or so.
Thanks in anticipation

Moor End CS near Ripon used to do a tow/in tow out of storage if that is any good, you do need to be a C&CC member of course. It's a few years since we went there, a nice site. I don't think you can actually leave your van on a pitch though.
I liked the sound of that CS near Ripon so tried to find it. I wonder if it has closed? It's not on the C&CC website and the last review on here was in 2011. Shame!
We stayed at Serenity in Hinderwell near Runswick Bay a couple of weeks ago and there seemed to be some unoccupied caravans, lovely owners, try giving them a call?

Brain in action again - York caravan park, nice site with easy bus access to York.
Bit outside your 2 hours, Threlkeld Hall near Keswick.
I think they're adult only which is what we usually go for, however Serenity above allows children.
