Hi, taking daughter and friend away in August for a week, both 16 nearly 17yrs old. They are at that age where everything is boring and they don't want to be with embarrassing parents So really need a site possibly Dorset, Devon or South Wales that is walking distance to a small town/village or seafront with cafes for them to go to and 'chill'. Site must have ehu and showers, idealy a games room and definitely wifi . Thoughts so far are Newlands in Charmouth and West Bay, any other suggestions please
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Just been through this in the past three to four years. Take heart, they soon won't even want to go and then you get some real peace and quiet - and you can go wherever you want.

Thanks Campernic, it is a hard time, she doesn't really want to come now, but I don't think she should be left on her own for a week yet But I must admit, I am secretly looking forward to swapping the caravan for a fixed bed one and going off whenever we want to where ever we want in a couple of years :)

The access to Hook Farm is down narrow roads, so not for the faint hearted. Try looking at Charmouth. The sites are within walking distance to the beach, and a bus ride to the metropolis of Lyme Regis!
You could try Kiln Park a Haven Site in Tenby, direct access to the beach that overlooks Caldey Island and a ten minute stroll into town, it is quite a large site where the statics outnumber the tourers
