Hello, are there any campsites in Ravenglass or nearby that are not the camping caravan club? (i cant afford to join!)

I can only find that one.

otherwise, where is best for walks and beaches??

Fisherground camp site is only about 5 miles from Ravenglass.

Fisherground is a lovely setting, but campervans and tents only.

Also, it has to close for maintenance 17th April 2016 to 21st April 2016 inclusive.

It's not too far from Ravenglass, nice site, with clean facilities.

The one I know is Shepherds Views at Holmrook. We've never stopped there as we always stay at the CCC site, but have looked round and consider it a good second to the Ravenglass site.
