Hi
DOes anyone know of campsites (tents) that allow real fires in warwickshire or oxfordshire?
I wouldn't want to turn up and start setting fire to things and it not be welcome!

cheers

Thanks for the reply - unfortunately the site's search facility doesn't include this sort of thing in it's criteria, so it's a case of going through every site individually and seeing if there are any references, which I haven't found so far, even in reviews.

Theres been a lot of talk on here about parks where you can have a fire, would it be of interest if it was away from the main camping park,

i.e. pitch in woodland with clearing for couple of tents, open fire & water.

Its something we are thinking of offering possibly next year if we can get it sorted out by then.

Toilets & all site facilities would then be a short walk away.

Sounds like a great idea, juging by the threads about camp fires.  In fact, even without a camp fire it sounds like an ideal pitch for me.

Good luck.

camp fires allowed also camping is not in marked pitches and has pics on its website to see the stream that runs through camping fields (fenced for safety when I was there).

Thanks for the replies - much appreciated.
No I'm not an arsonist :)
Fires away from the main camp site with facilities for a couple of tents would be of interest (as long as you don't have to trek miles to the washblock!)
I'll check out some of the links and see what's what.
cheers.
