Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Can't help, but avoid refrigerated lorries.....voice of experience. No sleep that night but at least got an early get away! That was Exeter by the way.

Gloucester services are free and the food is nice
Not overnight, though: "Parking
We have designated caravan and motorhome parking available. Parking is £23 per night including a £5 voucher to spend in our Kitchen.
Overnight car parking is £12 per night." (from their website).
Nonetheless, looks like a good suggestion.

Last year we stayed for one night at Apple tree farm. just a couple of minutes off the M5, superb facilities, and a nice pub that does a good carvery nearby. I think we paid £20 for the night.
A good alternative idea.
Ive also stopped at Apple tree park and its a good clean site only a mile or so from the m5 junction. There is also a petrol station nearby which is handy. We stopped at sedgemoor services last year. Not the best nights sleep ive had but ideally placed just south of the Bristol bottleneck.

It's hard to answer because we don't know what time you are leaving home, how far you want to drive, or where you will get to by 2100. Can you give a bit more detail please?
