Looking for a cheap basic touring site near (ish) Cockermouth that accepts dogs. We are only using it as a base so don't need fantastic facilities. Although a pub locally would be a bonus . Can anyone recommend anywhere?

Can't help with a personal recommendation but if you put Cockermouth into the campsite search facility above, it brings up a number of sites with very good reviews. Some are CC or CCC 5 van sites, so you would need to be a member to use these, but there are also others, including one behind a pub.
