If you want to stay close Burton Constable is nice, popular with families. Bit further afield Jasmine Park between Scarborough and Pickering, Leekworth in County Durham is also very nice, short walk into village of Middleton in Teesdale.
Our personal favourites are Clover Fields near Buxton (adult only) and of course Fforest Fields but that's about a 6 hour drive - although worth it.
We have a large tent so you wouldn't have issues at any of these.

Looking at your size of tent it is not that large just bigger than some sites allow. We have that problem too.
Can't help with a site as we don't holiday or live 'up north'!
