My OH and I are staying this side of the channel for our hols this year.
We have only managed Easter at Eskdale C&CC so far but also have a week booked at Beechcroft Farm in the Peak District in July.
We have another week off work booked from 2nd September and would really like to get to Cornwall with our tent.
Here is the dilemma we need help with. There are so many sites to choose from and our wish list seems to get more extensive with every visit to this site or every time we open a site directory!
We would like.................
Small to medium size site.
Quiet but a pub / village within walking distance.
Near or on the coast.
Near the SWCP.
EHU.
Good washrooms.
Our 4 kids are all mid twenties now and have flown the nest and while we are not adverse to children (this should be the first week back to school for most!)the fewer kids the better.
Finally site fees.....they seem to range from £85.00 to approx. £200 for the week. Obviously, closer to the former would be better.
Any help / recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Not sure it will tick every box but we really liked Gwithian Farm.
Near a stunning beach, pub in village near entrance to site and possibly still various catering vans in September which gives you another option. Have a look at their reviews.
Good Luck in finding a site that fits the bill.
------------- 2024:
February: Broadstone Park, Coleford
March: Bucklegrove, Rodney Stoke
Easter: Llandrindod Wells, Powys
May: Carmarthenshire
July: Dorset Volksfest + Wilksworth
August: Gloucestershire Vintage & Country Extravaganza
August BH: TBC
September: Undecided
October: Bull Bay, Anglesey
Another vote for the Meadows at Pentewan here. Great site. If you fancy somewhere quieter and smaller try Trewince Farm near Portscatho. Roseland peninsular is stunning.
Got to be the meadows nice walk to the beach different vans visiting the site with everything from pizza to cocktails cider and fish and chips marvellous
