We are from the Midlands so fancy North Wales for our first trip. We are a family of 5 with children aged 12, 10 and 6.

Can anyone recommend a site preferably around Conwy for our first trip? I don't really want to be much longer than 2 hours in the car.

I'm sure I'll be posting elsewhere for advice soon. We have bought a tent, airbeds and sleeping bags but are complete novices!

We stayed at this on which was 20 minutes from Conwy:-

Lovely site, kids could pet and feed the animals on the farm. Short walk into the town that has nice pubs, fish and chip shop and a big tesco.

Rynys Farm in Penmachno. My fiancee and I had our first holiday as a couple there last August. We then took my girls there the following October. Then another weekend for ourselves earlier this year. In May we took my girls and her son there for a short stay and we've booked an entire week there again this August.
We can't get enough if it.
Carol, the owner is one of the nicest people you could ever meet but will deal harshly with less desirable types quickly.
This is no Butlins style hellhole. Its absolutely gorgeous and unless you like the big city life with lots of bling, I guarantee you'll be back. Betws y coed is just round the corner if you need anything too. Perfect.

I second the one suggested by cathasle, I've stayed there several times and it's one of my favourites, in fact I'm due another weekend there in mid August.
