I'm hopeful you lovely lot can settle a debate! We are traveling to Builth Wells in Wales, North of the Brecons on Saturday. Driving from Kent I intend to leave bright and early! But which route. Logically the m4 pay a toll should be the easiest and fastest route! Am I right or shoulkd I consider others. I'm the only driver so no swapping if I want a rest! Google claims only a small difference in time but the alternative routes all look like they should be shorter but more complicated! Google doesn't know we are towing a big caravan! One alternative route passes Gloucester and takes the A417 and the other the m40. All advice warmly welcomed!

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I've not started from Kent but I've driven to Aberystwyth quite a bit, usually via Builth. I reckon M4 to junction 32 in Wales and then go up the A470 all the way to Builth.
