Hello!

I am aiming to take my family (self, partner and 2 boys aged 11 & 13) on our first camping holiday to Cornwall and I wonder if any experienced campers might be happy to recommend any campsites. I want something that's family-friendly and includes electricity and toilets etc. Our tent is 25ft long, so we'll need a decent sized pitch. I am looking through the search methods on this site but I figured that any additional advice could be useful and very welcome.

Many thanks,

Paul.

Hi

been to this site a couple of times Trewan Hall

On the electric field there are electric posts with four sockets which enables you to choose where to setup so generally there is plenty of space between units.

minimum space is 6m between units which wardens enforce.

Our trailer tent is 7.5m x 5m and never had issues

Regards
       Bob

You might struggle as many sites get booked up, we are on one now that has "full" sign up. We stayed at Watergate bay 2 years ago which still had pitches in summer school hols. It might be worth a look especially if your boys like surfing/body boarding as the beach there is popular for that.

Thank you. I am concerned about places being booked up. I didn't realise it was all quite so popular. Bed now but I'll have a look in the morning. Thank you!

Paul.

You might find the Sites With Availability Calendars list useful (scroll down to about 3/4 of the page for Cornish sites).

You could have a look at Trevarrian Holiday Park

Great site owned by the same family for over 40 years. They are very friendly and always on had to help out if required.
Small club/bar, 4 lane ten pin bowling alley, outdoor pool. In between two great beaches Watergate Bay one side Mawgan Porth the other. Loads of other beaches within easy reach.

Good location for exploring Cornwall- Lands End, Eden Project, Newquay & Padstow to name a few.

Perranporth is a good family orientated seaside town.

Probably the most important decision is to choose where you want to be.

A big thank you to everyone who has replied. I have chosen a place now but for future visits, I definitely intend to look into the other options you helpful folks have suggested.

Thanks again,

Paul.
