I'm trying to decide which site to book for us (me, my husband) and our son who is 13 and our dog for October sometime, but I cannot decide between Beddgelert Forest Site or Kelling Heath.
My 13yo loves outdoors stuff, but is equally happy with anything to do really.
Does anybody have experience of either or both sites and have any wise words they could share, please?
Many thanks
Tracey

We were at Beddgelert last October and placed a review. We really liked it.

I've been to Beddgeleet a lot, we used to go at least twice a year.
It's a lovely site, toilets and showers are good, quite a good site shop and now they open a room where you can watch TV or just socialise. The walk into the village is very good, a proper path, and takes about 30 minutes. There's not a huge amount to do in the village but plenty of places to eat, a few shops, a riverside walk and, of course, Gelert's grave.

Beddgelert everytime, if you have a choice. Pure dog heaven, straight into the forest along the paths. There is a fantastic walk straight up towards the lake, fantastic views along the way. Now there is a path to the village which is lovely. Facilities are fab. It has a little shop and does orders for breakfast and bread. It was my sons favourite site

Thanks all for your comments.
I should have perhaps mentioned that we'll be in a campervan so local trips out aren't an option anyway, but you have all tempted me towards Beddgelert (although I had actually shifted towards somewhere completely different: Ferry Meadows at Peterborough!)
Too many sites, not enough time/money!
