We went away for a weekend break this weekend just gone. We went to a lovely Caravan Club site (I'm not biased I am member of both clubs)
There have been several occasions where I have managed to leave my washing up liquid in the Washing up area and the can you guess the two times where the Liquid wasn't there when I went back?
Yes two Caravan Club sites! I don't really care about the cost, it's just by the time I have realised I've left it is when I am about to wash the dinner dishes up and it's too late to buy any more from the campsite shop!
Does anyone else find this annoying? If I see Shower gel or washing up liquid I always leave it there I wouldn't dream of taking it!

It could be that the person who cleans up put all such stuff in the bin!

On the other hand, think how gruesome the wash areas / showers would be if all the 'forgotten' bottles, cutlery, underwear, etc were just left there forever : just in case.

My toilet bag was pinched while helping an old gent down the stairs outside the loo's on one site we stayed at.
After helping the gent down the stairs I went back to the van and realised I had left my toilet bag and towel on a bench inside the gents shower/toilet block.

At least the thief had left my towel and no! It wasn't held in at reception over the next 4 days of our stay.

We went to a CL a couple of weeks ago, which also had a small site attached to it with mainly tourers which seemed to be there for the season. Only a handful of units occupied if that, plus a couple of CL pitches. I left an OS map in the small loo-block, which I forgot to pick up. Next morning, when I remembered, it had gone. I went to the owner's house but nobody had handed it in. By the time we left 2 days later, still nobody had handed it in. As it was borrowed from the library, I had to pay £7.99.

It's not so much the £7.99 I had to pay, as the fact that out of very few people there, one of them took a map which had obviously been left by someone on the site and also was obviously from a library; I'm very disappointed with that aspect of it. I've been in loo-blocks plenty of times and found either showergel, shampoo or similar but wouldn't dream of taking it, let alone a map.

What's wrong with people?!!

We were on a site in Anglesey in July and when I used the "main" shower block one evening some shampoo had been left in one of the 3 cubicles. And that's where it stayed so it would still be where there when the person went back to (hopefully) retrieve it.

My mischievous mind has often thought of getting some hair colouring and putting in a normal branded bottle. You'd soon spot the culprit walking around the site.

The first year that we tried camping we used a site about 20 mins from home. We love this site and were there every other weekend. I left my washing up liquid, without realising until we got home....went back 2 weeks later and it had been put to one side in the kitchen area!! If we ever come across shampoo/shower gel etc we always hang it from the hook on the back of the door 😊

No not really but they wouldn't do it again. I'd never use anything found in either a shower or dish washing area. Can't even stomach using a dishwashing sink that someone hasn't cleaned properly.

I know several sites that gather left-behind toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, no previous body contact items like soap) and invite others to help themselves. The reviews praise these sites for helping folk who've forgotten to pack lotions & potions.

Took my brightly coloured shirt off one morning on a busy site in Pitlochry. Dried off after washing, turned round and guess what - shirt had gone off the peg.
Later that day saw a guy on site with my shirt on his back. Grabbed him and he took off the shirt, threw it on the ground and ran off. Never saw him again.
