Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
far too early to think about the details but if you want something to do on a cold winter evening then you could look at the spey valley (aviemore, grantown on spey or aberlour) if you like malt whisky. or you could always look at the moray coast if you like dolphin watching.

Kintyre. A good choice of sites, all by the sea or very close to it.You could come back on the ferry from Campbeltown to Ardrossan just to make a change.
Or Mull.
Arisaig on the west coast where some pitches are almost on the amazing beaches or on the East coast there are great beaches with good sites all around the East Neuk of Fife and beyond.

Pine trees in Tyndrum is a lovely site. If you like walking it is right on the West Highland Way with loads of walks direct from site. Great views and in one of the best locations I've ever stayed at in terms of places to visit within an hour's drive - Glencoe 30 minutes, Inveraray 45 minutes, Oban 50 minutes, Callandar and Fort William both one hour. If you don't like driving there are 2 train stations, one goes to Oban/Glasgow, the other Fort William/ Glasgow. Five minutes walk takes you to small village shop, chippy, pub, famous Green Welly shop.
A good choice. There are plenty of small towns that I well remember from my youth when the A75 didn't bypass them! Keep an eye out for festivals too as there are various events like folk music, literary and food at various times of the year.

Well have decided on dumfries and gallaway as never been to the area.so looking for smallish site near village or town with pub river or sea or both.
Try Sandyhills. Beside a huge beach, a short walk up to a pub in a small chalet park at Barend, views to the Lake District. Or Solway View near Kirkcudbright, though it's not in walking distance of a pub. There's a good site above Kippford (its changed its name, I can't remember it just now), walk down to The Anchor Inn in the pretty village on the Rough Firth at sunset, cracking views.
