I am looking at Fforest Fields for our main camping holiday next year end of July/beginning of August, and wondered if anyone had any tips.
We will be taking our campervan & awning and myself, partner, two kids and the dog:) Wont be looking to go off site much if at all as we prefer to just chill out and relax.
Is there anything we need to know ahead of time? Stuff we should definitely bring to make the most of the experience? I believe there is a lake for swimming?
I am not a newbie camper, having camped every year since 2004 with all four of my kids, now just two left that want to come camping, but I have heard so many great things about this site that I have decided that we are going to try it next year:)

Probably the finest camp site in the land. You will love it. Do try and get out though, there is so many places to see. Take binoculars if you have a pair, and good walking shoes.
I must say the reviews look impressive!! Happy to go out on foot, I just cant be bothered with the faff of undoing the driveaway awning, packing the van up so that nothing slides around while driving:) Is there public transport in the area? And thanks for the binoculars tip! I will borrow my Dad's pair:)

My advice is always the same - keep your options open and as flexible as possible. Don't get fixed on one site. Do your research over winter and finalise your plans much nearer the time.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
