Hi we starting to book for 2017. Looking at Wales at Easter week. Touring caravan, 2 adults & 3 Westies who love their caravan trips. I was looking at Abersoch & Porthmadog & Anglesey areas but I'm open to suggestions. We like decent facilities & somewhere to walk dogs. Not fussed about sites with club etc. we enjoy exploring local areas & taking dogs out to local pubs. Hook up essential. Any recommendations?

Manorafon Farm at Abergele. Lovely site with hook-ups and good clean facilities, just a few minutes walk from the town with its pubs and shops - Tesco open until midnight - and traffic-free dog walking direct from the site entrance up the lane and beyond the old castle. About fifteen minutes walk/five minutes drive down to the beach where the North Wales cycleway gives more traffic-free dog walking.

If you don't mind Pembroke area try Trefalen farm at Bosherston, beautiful beaches miles of walks & dogs don't have to be on a lead, Charlie our Lab loved it, But there's always a downside..... 1 it's not the most level site we've been on most pitches are on a bit of a slope, 2 it's on a cliff top ( not on the edge ) but it's a climb (via steps) down to & up from the beach, & 3 there's no electric hook up but having said that we loved it & will certainly be making a point of going back.
------------- It felt good......so I dun it! I'm not old I'm .........forgot what I was gonna say.
Agree that Bosherton is lovely, but the OP has said that they need ehu. There is a site at St. Petrox which is close (not stayed there) which has ehu I think.

We have just come back from a week in Wales - found some lovely sites
New Quay - 10 minute walk to a friendly pub and 20 mins further down the hill to the small town...it is a hill hike back up but a stop back at the pub for refreshments helps! Small and lovely campsite with decent size pitches. We were only one of two on the site.

Just outside St Davids which is small and quaint-15 mins walk into the centre. Site is very clean and spacious on the coastal trail with views of the sea and rugged coast.

Have a look at Hendre Mynach, Barmouth. Lovely site, easy walk into town and everywhere doggie friendly including the beaches.
