Beechcroft campsite, is great. I've camped there a few times and that was before the upgrade. It was in the planning when I was there.
Fantastic walks, straight onto the trails from the site. Dog friendly pubs a short drive away or incorporated in your walk.
Well situated to reach different parts of the peak district. Buxton short drive away, Bakewell, monsal trail and Monsal head. Tissington.
EHU they use the cards. I find most people prefer as you only pay for leccy used, which works out cheaper than fixed charges per night, I believe.
Enjoy your trip wherever you decide to go.
