I'm looking for a dog friendly site close to Bournemouth with nearby public transport links to the town - late May Bank Holiday 2017 in a campervan - does anyone have any recommendations/warnings?

Problems with Bournemouth is most of the campsites are around the very edges and the public transport is generally poor. Off the top of my head, Hollands Wood at Brockenhurst allows dogs and is 15 min walk from the station where all trains stop on way through to Bournemouth. Could also consider sites on the Wareham/Wool side of Poole but train stops are more limited for them stations.

As mentioned, Bournemouth seems devoid of campsites within easy distance but if I wanted to go there I would probably book in to a site at Swanage and take the ferry across to Sandbanks from Studland. Ulwell Village campsite to the west of Swanage is about the nearest.
