Last stayed end April 2016 but was in friend's static so this may not be too helpful to you. Site itself slopes down to the river with the chalets at the top of the site near the loos, reception. Statics are tiered down the slope with the touring area at the bottom. Facilities a bit dated but were spotless and loads of hot water (but was not staying at busy time). No shop or restaurant Otterburn nearest place to shop or Jedburgh for family coming down from north. Or try takeways in Bellingham - around half an hour away. Fantastic fish and chip van in Byrness Friday evening - site owners will give you times and some very good lunches and evening meals to be had at the Redesdale Arms (if you've any light eaters, split one portion between two as they're large but you can have doggy bags). Barrier entry to site - can't remember if it's £5 or £10 fully refundable on return for electronic key. One way road system on site.
Loads of walks directly from site, if you like this. Plenty of information on things to do and the site owners are wonderfully helpful.
As the chalets are near the top of the site closest to the A68, there might be a little road noise but site is well screened by trees which cut down noise. Friends' static is near the top and I've not heard any.
Nearby alternative is Lilliardsedge just north of Jedburgh - this has a restaurant onsite. Stayed there two nights in March in static but didn't see a lot of it as arrived 7pm and left at 4am next morning, back 9pm that night and left 8.30am following morning. Restaurant ok for the one meal I managed to get!
