Hi

Looking for recommendations for touring sites within an hour(ish) of Sheffield for long weekend breaks.

We have two young kids, therefore any sort of play area/entertainment would be a bonus.

Been having a scout round and seen a few which could suit:

Sherwood Holiday Park, Rudding Holiday park and Haven Thorpe Pk

Any suggestions or experiences would be gratefully received.

We would be staying Thursday/Fri - Sunday and I saw that Sherwood do a Fri - Sunday pm tariff which would be ideal.

Rivendale in peak district is a good site with kids. Good play area, bar, restaurant, cycle path within 100 mtrs or so. Check out website. Lido knaresborough a good choice. Lots to do in area. Good play park, club house, restaurant, near harrogate. Any site in York.

We used to go to Sherwood Forest Holiday Park when our girls were little. They used to absolutely love it. It's great for a weekend away.

Clumber Park site is lovely.   Play area for the kids but no bar or entertainment sorry.

sherwood or riverdale, are both good sites.
Beechcroft is ok great basic park for under 6 and overs, but no bar.
