It appears, with the info given, that the site was closed in May, and the death occurred apparently in July, so it appears there was a period of "knowing this was going to happen". That period should have been used to tidy things up, from a business point of view... and a business it was, of course. If that was not possible, it certainly should have been done by now.
I'm sure someone has sorted out cancelling the power supply to the EHU's, and turned the water off to the showers. They've probably even officially closed the campsite business, to get the rates down, and cancelled the commercial waste disposal etc. Whoever has done all that should have also attended to any outstanding business with their customers, including returning deposits/pre-paid pitch fees etc.
I don't think it is unreasonable to expect to be able to make contact, and to expect a refund of monies paid in good faith, for a service that was ultimately not delivered, for whatever reason.
All very sad, of course, but that sadness should not be passed on to paying customers, who are afterall, complete strangers, and complete innocents in all this. The family should not be making a profit from this.
That's all on the assumption that there was someone left behind, be that business partner(s) and/or family members. If the owner was a loner, then Lord knows who sorts what out.
