Golden Sunset camping fields at Benllech on Anglesey. It's a fairly extensive site and they don't mind groups. Just turn up and pitch where you like - the headland field would be good for them.

Suggest they all double up. 2 to a tent & book separate pitches separately. Campsites ban single sex groups but they cannot ban same sex couples.
I remember me and a mate were refused a pitch in Blackpool. He told the receptionist we were a couple and got to stay. I walked into reception and wondered why he was calling me hun and getting strange looks off the old dear in reception. That was late eighties and the fact we were in black bike leathers didn't really help.
Nice site though we didn't really get round to sleeping there...... Turns out that Lancashire girls liked Scots with bikes.

Take opensauce's advice and if they all pitch side by side the penny will drop and they will be asked to leave.
I'm assuming they will be well behaved. Large groups are banned because of potential trouble. Provided they are all in bed & quiet by 11pm I can't really see a problem. If they all go & get p**sed at a local pub & make an effort to be quiet once they get back to camp I can't see a problem.
I've never been myself but would Shell Island not be a good place for them to go?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
It must be bad, my son rang Shell Island and they said no!
It's a shame to tar all with the same brush - although having been on the receiving end of rowdy groups I can understand why.
Thanks for the info about Golden Sunset - I'll pass that along.
I did suggest Salisbury Plain in the middle of a large scale tank and artillery exercise - apparently the military were worried about the noise and disruption caused by the group!

I was at Golden sunset a few years ago in a nice quiet corner of the site when two large cars rolled up and dumped a group of teenage lads and all their gear. As they were putting their tents up I heard them discussing who had brought what beer and how many cans they had so I really thought my peace was about to be shattered but how wrong I was - it turned out they were from my home town and they were the most quiet and polite lads I've ever met. They were celebrating finishing their 'A' levels but even with all the beer they'd brought they were very quiet - out most of the day and sitting in a group outside their tents in the evening just chatting, they even asked me to join them on a couple of occasions - they were lovely lads and I really enjoyed their company.
It just shows that teenagers aren't always rowdy - yes, no doubt a lot of them can be but I've heard groups of rowdy adults too so it's a shame to tar all teenagers with the same brush. I hope your son and his mates find somewhere and they have a great time.

I gave up trying to find campsites for my 17 yr old son and a few of his friends. They ended up doing a mini tour of the Lakes staying with YHA.
YHA are more than happy to have well behaved youngsters. You can camp at some too.
Hiya, Loads of the YHA venues offer camping and they are all listed on here
Shame about there being no shop selling Buckfast at the Abbey. Perhaps the youngsters can take it with them instead and show the owners what drinking in moderation looks like!
