Can anyone suggest a family site in the lake district for summer holidays. Ideally..
Preferably lake view
Great for families
Good pitch sizes
plenty of space for kids to play
Reasonable facilities
EHU not necessary
Thanks

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I think its called Waterside Campsite its right on the edge of Ulswater. its a few years since we where there it was when we had a tent but its was very nice.
The waterside Club sites are problably booked up solid already - folk seem to book their summer holiday on the day booking opens. It's a sellers' market in that area - we phoned around a dozen sites but several didn't phone back when I left a message; those that did return my calls were full of seasonals or had rallies. We eventually found somewhere (for Easter midweek a few years ago) but it didn't fit your criteria - probably the reason they had a free pitch!
Hope others can help you & that you find a perfect spot.
Thanks for the tips! Waterside looks like a great site. We've also seen a lovely site near Keswick called Kestrel Lodge which looks small and friendly. Trying to decide
