Many beaches in the U.K. enforce seasonal restrictions on dogs (i.e. They do not allow dogs on the beach during peak seasons... either at all or they are restricted to certain areas) so best to check!
The Yorkshire coast (Filey, Whitby etc) is amazing, one of my favourite places. Gorgeous beaches and so much to do. I definitely prefer it to Norfolk overall.

Seacroft does have a camping field but it's next to a busy road( noise maybe)We are at Seacroft at the moment. There was entertainment on every night last week, some especially for children.
The heated swimming pool was popular too. Dogs are allowed on the beach at East Runton and also the beach at the far end of the promenade in Cromer.

Thanks, seacroft seems to be much more formotor units rather than tents, has put me off a bit.
I really like the look of kelling Heath, but they are looking to charging me £38 for the dog for a week. Seems odd, the dog is new to us, so is this usual to charge a fiver ish a night for a dog?
Leave dog at home as you will find how much they restrict you doing things.
Have you no relatives to leave him with, as our family do. Taking dog restricts lots of things you can do,and it is usually poor husband who has to care for dog standing outside whilst family do other things. He needs a holiday as well. You can do plenty of dog walks when at home.

Hi,
Cromer is about 7 miles and Sherringham is about 4-5 depending which way you go (we walked to Sherringham there and back last year and spent the day on the beach).
Holkham and Wells are a bit further 15-17 miles. Not sure about dog through as don't have one. I google dog friendly beaches and it show the following Beaches where dogs are allowed - no 15 Weybourne is the beach nearest the campsite its all pebbles though.
1. Brancaster
2. Caister Point
3. Cley Beach
4. East Runton
5. Great Yarmouth South
6. Happisburgh
7. Heacham - S.Sands Club
8. Heacham - South Beach
9. Holme next the sea
10. Horsey
11. Old Hunstanton Beach
12. Snettisham Beach
13. South Denes Great Yarmouth
14. Waxham
15. Weybourne
16. Winterton on Sea
------------- 2015 sites booked so far: Cotswold Farm Park, Ninham IOW, still some more to book
