What's it like these days? Must be over 20 years since I camped there. It was an August bank holiday and the place was just becoming commercialised. They had tarmacked the entrance and put up a barrier and the bar staff in the on site pub had been given uniforms. Seriously though has the place been ruined or is it still the laid back easy going site I remember?

It gets really busy in school hols but still the same old Shell if you go when all the children are back at school. The toilets and showers have been upgraded and toilet blocks dotted around now. Adam does sea fishing trips which my husband likes to do. We are going to avoid school holidays and bank hols as the site is usually full!
It would be in the school holidays if I go. My daughter is going away on a tour with the local music service so I was thinking I might take my son for a few days if the weather is ok. Do a bit of crabbing, take the dinghy and have a night round the campfire. I did think about trying Fforest fields but it will be Royal Welsh week and I don't suppose there will be any last minute spaces.
