Couldn’t agree more with all that’s been said, I was talking with one the locals earlier and he said stay out of Builth this week as it will be like Dodge City.
Also current having young kids on quad bikes aground the site now. When we arrived it was like pitch where you want then come and tell us where you are. It’s a bit of a free for all. Young lad you can’t have grass pitch with an awning if we are here for a week because of killing the grass, but they huge tents with SIG on them. Couldn’t for the life of me figure that one out.

It may be worth e-mailing the management about this - Katie the owner has always been very helpful, and she may not realise this is happening.

It was always our favourite site but the reasons you state, mainly the unsupervised kids, is what has put us off in recent years and we will only return when we can go out of school holidays. We did that a couple of years ago and it was perfect! It used to be so nice because it was a basic site (we went before the new amenities block was built) no pools just a lake, no clubhouse, etc but they do seem to have changed now with a cafe bar, covered area in the courtyard where people gather of an evening. I hated walking through there to go for a shower. I guess it's working for them and they're attracting new clientèle but I know quite a few who feel like us. Believe me, it saddens we so much to say this, thought we'd go there for years.
I enjoyed my stay at FF in May 2022, from Sunday afternoon onwards after the units with kids had gone. It was blissful!
Sunday arrivals to leave early Saturday mornings would be my preference from now on, unless I could get a late departure on a weekday.

Unfortunately not possible for us as I'm a teaching assistant. Adult only going forward for us. Maybe we'll venture back when I retire!

I will just comment on this point, we always went for 8 or 9 nights in our huge tent with SIG and had to have an all weather pitch not grass for that very reason. We didn't have an issue with that.
