Does anyone know of any approachable campsites in Hampshire/Dorset/Sussex that might allow us to have a spring pitch and an autumn pitch. Or a friendly campsite that might negotiate a monthly pitch fee? We are Southampton area and willing to travel an hour in either direction....pref still coastal.
We currently have a part-season pitch at Sandford a Parkdean site. The caravan is sited from Mar-May and we pop to it for weekends/easter/half term etc with our young family. We're lucky enough to take it away to europe for the 6 week summer hols and then take it back to Sandford for Sep-Nov. It's fantastic value there, with lovely pools and facilities and great beaches etc surrounding it but it would be lovely to explore another area.
We only pay £500 and £400 for the spring and autumn pitches. Google hasn't thrown anything up yet. All the sites it suggests are £3k for full season. I'm hoping people might know of independent campsites that might be approachable.
We don't want to live there, just take the kids as much as possible at weekends and in holidays to explore and be outside. My parents sometimes use it mid week or join us for half term etc.
Any ideas gratefully received.
