I stayed at Acorn Camping in Llantwit Major a couple of weeks ago. It was nice and not too far from Cardiff. I have also stayed at Ty Coch, between Cardiff and Newport. It is much nearer than Acorn and easily accessible to the P & R if you need to get to Cardiff.
