Tan house farm at Yate Rocks is a CL for 5 vans. It is a good lake with some decent fish and you can pitch your van wherever you like in the field around the lake so can sit in your awning and fish.

Pretty basic site I think.

About 13 miles NE of Bristol down some pretty narrow lanes.

I don't think their website is on the uks campsite review page so I have given it separately

The farm is opposite the lake field.

Lovely quiet place though in the middle of the country side.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Have a look at Wyton Lakes just outside Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. There are three good-sized lakes and some pitches are situated so you can fish directly from them. It's a lovely site, I don't fish but I like it as it's quiet

We went there once when our preferred site at Houghton Mill was fully booked. Never again!

There were more rules than in a Working Men's Club; "You can't fish there. That's Fred's favourite swim and he might arrive this weekend." And I felt that the owner's eyes were burning the back of my neck everywhere I went.

In the end we gave up and went down to the river nearby. Came back just before the fishing finished and had three carp between us on free lined bread fished in the margins before Frau Campenfhurer ordered us off.

Next day another angler told us that nothing else had been caught all day. The regulars were not amused.

Its a fantastic area and we visited every year for six or seven years, but at Houghton Mill, not there.

If I had known how busy retirement would be, I'd have carried on working.
