I live in North Norfolk, 1 friend in Birmingham and another in London - so decided to look for somewhere roughly in the middle for us all to meet for a weekend camping.
Any recommendations for me in that approx area? I'll be in a folding camper, first friend in a Bongo and the other in a tent. We all have young children (3 and under) but aren't looking for much in the way of facilities - just somewhere clean and clear where we can camp together.
Anywhere jump out to you?
Thanks,
Cc
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Ferry Meadows is great, it's in a park, so children's playgrounds, little railway, lakes to feed ducks, lots of paths for bike riding, garden centre which serves food and pub within walking distance, and a steam train stop for the Nene Valley Railway close by.
Another vote for Ferry Meadows. Excellent facilities, helpful staff. Although it's a big site it doesn't feel like it - it's not all in regimented rows like some sites! Great place for kids.

I like Ferrymeadows too, but tents are in a designated area so not sure if you will all be able to camp together. Worth asking. There is a site map on the caravan club Ferrymeadows site page. The site is in 2 halves with the road to the country park splitting the site in two. Doesn't cause any problems. Tents are on the right hand side / east side.
Another option might be Highfields Farm Touring Park. Stayed here a couple of times and always enjoyed it. Ask to go on the family field - there were some swings in the middle if they are still there. Everyone camps round the edge of this field. Decent facilities which are are always clean. Depending on space you might be able to camp next to each other as I ve seen tents and caravans on the family field.
