We stayed at 2 sites that welcome big tents in Scarborough and Weymouth (ours is the kalahari 10 7.1x4m). And staying at blue dolphin in sept. And booked littlesea for may next year.
New to camping and now can't stop booking and going
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Tents over the past few years have become bigger, so it has been a problem for a while. It's the same old question, is my tent too big.
The usual recommendations are, to find a site which has unmarked pitches. Pitch size start from 6x6m this or was the norm and had To oayfor two pitches.
A lot of people do have different tents for different situations.
Mucker does not have exclusive rights for winter camping.
He always show the same photo. I often do winter camping and of late, up in Scotland lots of snow fab.

Funny enough when I was in holgates this weekend I went to the haven site at flookburgh, who had previously told me they couldn't take me.
The wardens told me they had no problem with the size of my tent and if I went to reception to enquire about a booking I was to say my ten!t was 6.7m.
This I did and I've booked for late sept.
It was a definite case of computer says no
So I suppose this can be added to the list.

Always worth speaking direct to a human in situations like this, be that in person or on the 'phone. Website booking and even emails aren't always the best way forward.
Glad to hear you have another one on your list.
