Having had a lovely camping holiday last week we have managed to get the bank holiday week off from work but have no campsite. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for finding a campsite that is not booked up? I have spent hours looking and when I call they are all full (I know this is to be expected). It is for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and a dog. Ideally looking for beach location and hookup and if possible WIFI and some things to do (swim, games room). I am running out of time but desperately want to go away again. To make it harder OH not really a fan of haven type large commercial parks.

Any help really appreciated

Best to look a bit further out or away from the main tourist resorts/areas. More likely to be availability.

Do you belong to CCC? If so look up their Temporary Holiday Sites, but you will be probably off grid, and no frills, but chance to get to know others.
