I am getting married and would love to do it on a campsite over a weekend, no dates set yet, so flexible.
Does anyone now of any sites that would accomodate this, prefer Scotland but flexible again. There would be around 30/40 people, funds are low so basic is fine.

Don't know of any specific campsites, but bear in mind that if you actually want to get married on the campsite, the law in Scotland is much more flexible than the law in England and Wales. In Scotland you can pretty much get married where you want- there are restrictions in England and Wales.
I know a CL but it's in Warwickshire. We were there recently and most of the site was taken up by a singing group. There are normally no facilities, but temporary showers and loos were installed.
Thanks for that, I have recently moved to Scotland from Blackpool and have heard a bit about the laws it's just travelling for family members but I'm sure it would be worth it if I can find the right site

Much too far for your relatives I'm afraid but we stayed at Dan's meadow in Suffolk and they had a wedding booked with exclusive use for guests the weekend after we left.
Apparently the happy couple were doing the official bit at a registry office then having vows and a blessing later, in front of all the guests in a marquee on the campsite.
They also have a small hall on the site where they were going to have a DJ and dancing.
Good luck!
When my daughter got married last year near Malvern she rented the local village hall for the weekend and we were allowed to use their playing field for tents and caravans.
We also went to a wedding on Monday near Newtown and the same thing applied, so it might be worth talking to a village hall in the area you want.

Some rugby clubs allow camping & hire of their bar & use of toilets. They get the bar profits for the funds. I can't be specific about location, sorry, I've just noticed them listed in UKCS when I've been looking for a site.
I hesitate to mention this as its a long way from Scotland but Bo Peep Farm at Adderbury, near Banbury, whilst closed as a regular campsite does events such as weddings and as the original campsite must still be there it might be possible to arrange something?

You can have a wedding at Rivendale campsite in The Peak district. They have a bar and restaurant. They also have rooms, yurts and pods for those without tents.
