Can anyone suggest a campsite in Lancashire, Cumbria or North wales, where we can take our dog, away from any fireworks, in November. We would like one with electric hook-ups and a toilet block if possible. All suggestions will be gratefully received. Thanks.

Laverick Hall near Halton, Lancaster? it's out in the country, a very nice site with lovely owners who I'm sure would be only too happy to advise on the firework situation.

Forgot to add, have you tried Serene-um tablets for your dog? ours is scared of fireworks and thunder; they do help. I think you can buy them from Pets at Home, or from Ebay or Amazon.

We have tried Serene-um and the plug in one, but we thought the best thing would be to get away from the noise if possible. Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Thunder Jackets for dogs are very good and work a treat on my mother in laws dog. We bought her one on the recommendation of several people. Worth a try.

The Lake District National Park is firework free so any year round caravan site within the national park should be OK for your needs

But Windermere is not.
I just copied and pasted it. As in the Lake District.

But fireworks are not mentioned in the dates for the Windermere Guy Fawkes party which is probably just a bonfire and suitable food. You cannot let off fireworks inside the National Park boundries

Wait.

Grasmere is in the Lakes? I've stayed in a cottage over Christmas and New Year. The renovated Daffodil hotel had a spectacular firework display over the lake.

To be honest.
If i lived up there, paid my rates and wanted to let fireworks of i would.

Bloody National Parks come out with some crap.
Peak District has for last 50 years.
