Hi... we're looking for a campsite around the Porthcawl area of South Wales for our late Easter camping trip... found a few but they seem pretty basic.

What we are looking for is a campsite that as a minimum has:

1. Has a clubhouse with bar and restaurant
2. Has an heated indoor swimming pool
3. 13A electric points

Evening bingo and entertainment/shows also a positive... as is being close to good sea fishing....

There are 2 of us in a Drummond 7 tent...
We like our space!! LOL!

We've been to the Gower Peninsula (Bank Farm at Horton) for a number of years which is a fabulous place but last two years we've had a change and been to Cornwall but now fancy going back to Wales but to the other side of Port Talbot/Swansea to explore that area more...

Any suggestions/recommendations, please?

Thank you!

It doesn't seem as if there are any near Porthcawl. If I were you I would look at the Tenby area, Kiln Park has all you require and takes tents I think. Porthcawl is not very attractive, Tenby is.

I can heartily recommend Tenby, but not a site, as the kind of site you describe is the sort we normally avoid. We stayed at a CS in Manorbier, just outside Tenby in July, but there were no facilities at all except EHU, a toilet and a shower, water, and chemical toilet disposal. But that's just how we like it.

Best Regards,
Colin

Not interested in Tenby at all. And Porthcawl and Swansea and between is my favourite part of the world. Also wish to visit a relative who is in a care home in Port Talbot so want close proximity to there really. Failing to locate anywhere Porthcawl area we'll probably fall back to Bank Farm....
