Hi
we were 5 years on a seasonal at Lowther Holiday Park, Penrith. When I was working we managed every other weekend, holidays and Bank Holidays. Once I retired we used to do a week about - one in the van, one at home.
Our journey was 104 miles and took anything from 1hr 40 to over 3 hours on a BH weekend!
We used to put the awning up in March and take it down in November and had sofa, table and chairs, TV and fridge freezer (this all went in our little shed at the end of the season). Seasonal pitches are about £2k from March until mid Nov and electric is extra - it is a lovely site though! Your van can stay on the pitch through the winter if you wish at no extra cost.
We sold up last season and bought a static there.
Good luck with your search.
