Looking for next year, our ideal site would be St Ives Bay but we can't take the dog unfortunately.
Looking for a site ideally with a pool, clubhouse or pub/restaurant that we can take the dog in on an evening/during the day, electric pitches and plenty for the kids to do.
Stayed in Devon last year for the 1st time with our dog and even though the site was dog friendly you were very restricted to where you could go with the dog.
Looking at Haven Perron Sands but open to all suggestions.
Polmanter is a great site and matches all your requests. We stayed this summer and couldnt fault it. We didnt find Cornwall particularly dog friendly especially the beaches very few you can use and all off the beaten track. Our weather in August was poor too. Journey back home was horrendous we stopped over at Tewkesbury and took 8 hous to do 250 miles! But if you can put up with that the site itself is top notch.

St Ives does have one small dog friendly beach. This is the only downside to sti Ives as the main beaches are not dog friendly. Mexican towans beach is good and dog friendly and a short drive to get to at Hayle. Polmanter site is lovely and has a big dog exercise area though. We have been for last few years. You can easily walk to st Ives and it is a lovely town. If dog friendly beaches are really important then Newquay area may be better e.g - perranporth and watergate bay are dog friendly. But the best news for dog owners is that Fistral beach in Newquay itself is dog friendly. We usually take a trip there during our stay in st Ives.
We were there this year and dogs are allowed in the conservatory part of the bar and the beer garden. However not in the main bar area. The conservatory bar looks out on to the pool and is plenty big enough. It is a lovely site.
Rang them yesterday as they can't take bookings online at the moment for the summer and they can accomodate us but just want to check the pitch first and then we'll book. Can squeeze us in for 9 nights too.
Thanks for the recommendation, for some reason we missed this site on our searches.
They have a facility to virtually look at your pitch on their website. They all seem good sizes pitches just depends where you want to be close too ie play area or toilet facilities etc. They split the park into named sections and then pitch numbers we were on Giew pitch 148. Serviced grass pitch. The staff sre good at recommending pitches that suit individual tequirements.

Booked pitch 79 for next August. Great site to be able to see the pitch. Good location and walkable to St Ives which we liked when we were last there. Can't wait now.
