Hi,

We’ve never been to
Northumberland before and we’re looking fir a site with hook up and showers. We prefer smaller quieter sites but seem to be struggling finding much.

Can anyone help and recommend anywhere. We go outside of school holidays as it’s just the two of us.

Chainbridge site near Berwick is a cracking site, they do however get busy so book early, we couldn’t get in this year

Have you tried the site search facility? Pretty foolproof.
I know the Chainbridge site well, and I like it. I think of Northumberland as huge beaches, castles, Cheviot Hills - and Berwick upon Tweed is more Borders in character. So it would make a base, but it's not hardcore Northumberland.
PS there are also recent threads on this very topic. Seahouses to Bamburgh, for example. Sorry - I can't do links, but the Search tab works well.

I have booked Doxford Farm CL as toilet and shower llooks nice about 3 miles from beach.
Annstead Farm is also nice we stayed in The Walled Garden

Procter steads, springhill farm, Duncan caravan and camping, seahouses. Lots of sites each with different facilities.

I was interested in this thread as we were thinking about going to Berwick in January. The sites mentioned look nice but all seem to open in March. Does anyone know of an all year site in the area? Thanks!

Ord House Country Park at Berwick has a very good reputation locally and is advertised as being open all year.
I have not stayed there personally because I only live about 25 miles away.

The walled site is in a quiet area about a mile from Berwick and about half a mile from the A1

I just have to comment on this post. I came into this particular page to post asking for recommendations for Northumberland! And here we are everything has been posted in advance for me. I plan to start off in Sandringham then travel north to Northumberland as I’ve never visited that part of the country at all .. so thank you to everyone who has replied. Very helpful for me too x
