Hi
Does anyone know of any small campsites that would let you hire out the full campsite ? We go away as a large group once a year (all families) and as our annual trip has grown in numbers we now struggle to find somewhere to accommodate us all together (around 50-60 people), as said we are all families and not overly rowdy but i am aware that a large group will still make noise that may be unpleasant for other campsite users. Ideally we would be looking to the north of England or into southern Scotland. Any recommendations ?
Thanks in advance

OP has considerately mentioned the possibility of noise. I think the rally option is more honest to site owners, and means they'll all be together not scattered far & wide.
Monturpie might be too far north - it's in Fife. It has a separate rally area, cracking views over the Firth of Forth & very pretty coastal villages nearby (Pittenweem, Crail, Anstruther) plus St Andrews.
And Sandyhills (Dumfriesshire) has a large grass area at the entrance well away from the main part of the site that I've seen used for groups like Girl Guides.
As said, site search ticking the Rally box.
And Red Bank Farm at Bolton le Sands has 2 camping fields, it might be worth speaking to them. No caravans though, the access is difficult for them through the farmyard.
I think there's a rally field at Hollingwoth Lake too.

I believe Gibralter Farm, Silverdale, near Carnforth, North Lancashire has a rally field. x
Gibraltar Farm has a whole woodland area which can be booked by groups and it's separated from the rest of the site. It's in a great location so I would think definitely worth considering.

When we were tent campers we used to have our annual summer camp with lots of friends. About 12 units and loads of kids.
Sleningford mill at west tanfield near Ripon had a field at the end of the site which was perfect for us. A 15 min walk to nearest pub. Good walks right from site. Kids able to mess around on river. Canoeing available. Also light water valley theme park about a mile away. Masham an Ripon about 6 miles in opposite direction and York is about an hours drive.
Might not be far enough north for you,but I was just looking for a site near to friends who live near Grimsby and came across Normanby Hall country park. Website says they have a private hire area.
Looks ideal for families.
